While the University has continued to
grow, state appropriations have not, and today less than 50
percent of the institution’s operating budget is supported
by the State of Texas. Though The University of Texas-Pan
American strives to maximize its resources from state
appropriations, grants and contracts there are still many
unmet needs throughout the institution.
Through gifts to The University of
Texas-Pan American Foundation, individual donors,
corporations and foundations can help UT Pan American better
meet its needs and provide exceptional higher education
opportunities to the predominantly Hispanic Rio Grande
Valley of Texas.
How can you support UT-Pan American?
At UTPA, we believe that there are
compelling reasons for everyone of our alumni and friends to
give when the time is right.
Make a Gift! When you decide to
give, you’ll have choices to make:
·
Where should your gift go? You can designate
your gift to a specific area or you can give an unrestricted
gift for the University to use for its greatest needs. Look
into University priorities, the UTPA Annual Unrestricted
Fund and school/unit priorities.
·
What type of gift should you make? There are
many ways to give, including some that provide great
financial benefits to you and your family.
·
How will we recognize your gift? We are proud
of our supporters and have identified giving clubs and other
forms of recognition to say thank you.
·
How can you make a gift? You can write us,
send us an email, or make a gift online-whatever is easiest
for you!
