The Power of Vision

In the Power of Vision, Joel Arthur Barker writes, “Someone once said that we’d better pay attention to the future, because that’s where we’re going to spend the rest of our lives.  Yet, too often those are just words to many people who end up finding themselves fixed almost entirely on the present.  Or they dream about the future, but they do nothing about it.  And so their dreams seem at best illusive and at worst unattainable.”

The University of Texas-Pan American Foundation has a positive vision of the future for the University.  The Board of Trustees of this organization represents local, state and national corporations and is out there every day thinking about, dreaming about and envisioning a brighter future for the University.

Representing major and local organizations- like:  Southwestern Bell; IBC Bank; Wal-Mart; H.E.B.; 2M Ranch; South Texas Health Center; Cantu Construction Co.; A.G. Edwards & Sons; Talbot & Wong; Guerra Brothers; J.R. Enterprise; and KL Gates LLP – these individuals have given their time and energy to transform UT Pan American into the premier University in the Rio Grande Valley.

The board members pictured on this page exemplify leadership ability and real-world experience characterized by high morals, values, principles and their commitment to supporting high academic standards.

With their help, the Foundation has made great strides in raising, managing and investing funds in recent years.  The future for the University is indeed bright and growing brighter because of their efforts.

Contributions to the Foundation are used in accordance with donor wishes to build first-class academic, research and public service programs.
