
The
University of Texas-Pan American’s development office is
focused on providing scholarships and educational
opportunities for over 17,000 students. The majority of our
students are from within the 10 counties in South Texas,
approximately 87% are Hispanic. As a Hispanic Serving
Institution, UTPA is second in the number of bachelors
degrees awarded to Hispanic students on the U.S. mainland.
The
Development Office is uniquely in the business of developing
partnerships with donors for the purpose of raising funds to
benefit UTPA. This endeavor takes on a broad perspective
that involves working with individuals, families, public
entities, foundations and corporations seeking to make a
significant impact on the lives of students. Increasing
the University’s visibility provides an opportunity to
attract new corporate donors, recruiters and foundation
donors.
With premier
events such as the Hispanic Engineering, Science and
Technology Week (HESTEC), the University is able to engage
various corporations and governmental agencies to recruit
highly qualified UTPA students. For more information on
